- Do not wear shoes in the Whare Hui
- Do not smoke in the Whare Hui
- Do not eat kai (food) in the Whare Hui
- Do not jump on mattresses in the Whare Hui
- Do not hang clothes on the pictures in the Whare Hui
- Do not hang clothes on the poupou (carvings) in the Whare Hui
- Do not drink in the Whare Hui
- Do not run around inside the Whare Hui
- Do not walk over peoples legs, ask them to move them
- Do not walk in front of a speaker
- Do not throw blankets over others
- Do not drink in the Whare Hui
- Do not chew gum
- Do not sit on pillows ANYWHERE
